The Pier Arts Centre, situated in Stromness, Orkney, is an art gallery and museum specialising in Scottish art. It was founded in 1979 and is home to an impressive collection of British art donated by Margaret Gardiner (1904-2005), a renowned author, peace activist, and philanthropist. The collection features works by Alfred Wallis (1855-1942), a Cornish fisherman and artist and Slyvia Wishart, a founding Trustee of the Pier Arts Centre.
